To encourage healthy eating for the SBH community, SBH has partnered with Project EATS, which runs urban farms throughout the New York metropolitan area. Project EATS is a neighborhood-based project that uses art, urban agriculture, partnerships, and social enterprise to sustainably produce and equitably distribute essential resources within and between local communities; especially those where people live on working class and low-incomes. Project EATS also works with SBH in our Farmacy Program, which includes a campus farm stand that provides patients and community residents with steep discounts. This is particularly important in a community where the rates of obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular disease are among the highest in the country.
Our missions is to encourage healthy eating for the SBH community, SBH has partnered with Project EATS, which runs urban farms throughout the New York metropolitan area and Bee Haven Bees to transform the roof top into a safe and sustainable environment for honey bees and their bee hives.
